Abstract

Born on April 28, 1928 in a remote village in Lohara District in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. Dr. Thakur graduated in Agriculture from Delhi University in 1950 and M.Sc. Agriculture as an in-service condidate from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Delhi in 1965. He then proceeded to USA for Ph.D. (1968-70) on a Government of India scholarship at the Ohio State University.
