Abstract

Brinjal is an important solanaceous vegetable, which holds coveted position among the different vegetables. Yield is a complex character determined by several component characters (Singh, 2005). Improvement in yield is possible only through selection for the desired component characters. Hence knowledge of association between yield and its component characters and between component characters is essential for yield improvement through selection programme.
