Cluster bean (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba (L.) Taub.) is an important drought resistant leguminous crop that has been grown in India since ancient times. Gujarat state occupies an area of about 1.24 lakh hectares, with an average productivity of 590 kg ha-1.
